pen overhears "And t' think... we've an hour to ourselves," and instantly replies "what to do what to do" and with that he realizes whats goign and and slumps into the booth.

Lolita quirked an aqua color brow. Admittedly this was the first time someone had slipped into her booth. Everyone else was usually too frightened by Yami and the other twenty-two personalities.
"May I help you?" Her eyes narrowed slightly in annoyance.

Pen became red instantly" maybe, can you hold a good conversation?" what the hell was he saying, he was nervous just thinking about it, and yet it came out so smoothly.

"Yup. Whether she's a bitch or not," came another voice.
"Don't call Yami-chan that! She's.."
"She is, lass. Ye know tha'."
"...don't mind the voices. Long story." It was the "original" personality. "Thirsty?" she asked, offering him some water.

"Why not..." the dancer said more to her selves than to him. Gathering her things she moved over to the booth.
"I was wondering who took my usual booth." It was more of a statement, not really a complaint. "This one is good to hide from people." Her shattered blue eyes stared at the stranger. "I'm Lolita."

The dancer sipped her water. "I'm not telling you until you tell us your name."
"Yami-chan! That's mean!"
"Shut up, Kawaii."
"You two are never satisfied, are you?"
While the personalities switched if one were to do a close inspection of her eyes, they would see that something else were happening. Her eyes kept switching colors whenever another voice took over.
"Since Yami is rather protective of us.. why don't you tell us your story, first?"

"the name is penance, pen for short.the story is long and borring lots of pain a few good memories and the rest a smoked out haze" with that said pen went back to his water.

Yami smirked inwardly. However before the darker half had the chance to speak another personality took over. "Penance, ne?" giggled Kawaii. She was far too amused by some names.
"No need to be all giddy, Kawaii."
"I'm not giddy... I don't think..."
Another one sighed. "Lass, ye are just a wee bit too mooch a' times..."
For a moment all of the personalities were silenced. The eyes cleared a bit to resemeble shattered glass. "Don't mind them. It's been like this for a few years." It was the "normal" persona. "This has been the only place that would hire us." She smiled slightly. "The story behind this is for myself to know. I don't just tell it to anyone."
"Finally. You seem to be learning."
"Hush, Yami-kun."
"Yeah! What she said."
"...don't mind us. Yami tends to start fighting with everyone," explained the dancer as she sipped more water.

penance smiled happily." at least you dont keep them bottled inside till they drive you inanse and you create a double person who likes to kill everyone whos hurt you"....... pens eyes shifed back and forth for a moment "so....anyway"

"Or if you cross her durin' that time of th--"
"That's too much info, Kawaii."
"Eheh... I do that too much, don't I?"
As if defying all logic twenty some odd voices responded. "Yes."
"Anything else you would like to know?" Lolita began to pick at her dinner.

"Yea... we all feel physical things, if that's what you mean." The next question had her stumped for a while. "I... I'm not sure. While it would be nice to be whole, I'd feel lonely if I didn't have them all."
Somewhere in her consciousness Lolita realized that she had accepted all of the splits. "Together we work as a whole. Apart we'd be weak."
