Kitra snorted. "Of course! I usually do. Just not when I'm angry. And I'm not." She patted her side where one of her guns, which she named Kazaf, was hidden.
"Only if some guy tries t' grab my ass, then we'll be fine."

Kri cracked a rare half smile, "I was wondering why you starting destroying the bar back at the other station..yet another couple hundred credits added to our bounty" ::sighs::
"Well, I'm tired of this inaction my little jedi friend, what do you suppose we do?"

She eyes the holo-ads for Morgan's Bar. "We could go there..." Kitra thought aloud.
"...and it was that Techie's fault. That Omwatti grabbed my ass and expected me t' put out.. and he touched my shades..." The Miraluka cracked her knuckles, beginning to grow angry at the thought of him.
"Admit it Kri," she started, walking off toward the bar, "it was bloody hilarious t' see him falling through a table. Let's go."

"Hmm... No, it's fine." He was satisfied that none of the devices posed a threat. He was worried about something that would be transmiting a signle, rather than be hardwired or have a seprate storage unit.
"So, you want to know why we are here. The answer is simple really, one of the empires elite defected, he was discovered and executed, but not before he could hide a data card in the cargo of a freighter. The information on the data card is.... delicate. We captured the freighter not to long ago, but the card was no longer aboard. This station was the last recorded stop it made that we haven't already searched. It must be here." As soon as he finished speaking, his comm beeped. "Excuse me a moment."
"What?" "Sir, we have found something." "The data?" "No sir, something Lord Vader is looking for." "Oh? I will be right there."
He turned back to the security chief, "Is there anything else I can tell you? My men require my presence."

Miki begins to reply, then pauses as he gets a signal on his implanted communicator.
"A WHAT just went off WHERE?" He doesn't bother to subvocalize, now, his calm suddenly flashing into anger lightly mixed with astonishment. "Sound full alarm, seal everything off, NOW!" The station chief's eyes snap up, at the Imperial officer. "A few of your men just blew a hole in my station. Needless to say, this does not please me, however, for the moment I have other things to take care of."
With that, the station chief is gone, a snap movement catapaulting him past the Imperial commander, out into the gravity-controlled sections once more; he tumbles as he goes, and comes up running, his hands already assembling a hypersonic stunner and a dueling blade that looks like it belongs to a Wookiee.
"Control! Don't let ANYONE leave, and if they try, shoot them until they stop trying."

Nixx sputtered a string of curses in half a dozen languages, some of which had no translation to basic. He quickly followed the chief out of the office, making a somewhat more dignified landing than Miki did. He was running after the chief, THOSE IDIOTS, I am gonna shoot someone. His comm beeped again, "Sir, he just left." He let out another string of curses, Thats all I need.
Meenwhile, Abord the Tritoch, a keen intelect is given a goal once again. Thanks to Kri's little stunt with the gernade, his force presesnce was lit like a 1000watt beacon. Kerin walked into the station, his cloak billowing behind him. The two station guards that tried to deny him access would be found later, one headless, the other with his windpipe crushed.

As he bolts, Miki snaps over his shoulder at the Imperial following along behind him. "I hope your men have had Null-G training." On the implant, he once again has returned to subvocalization.
"Computer. Initiate gravgen shutdown, authorization M-Twenty-Three-Alpha-Five-Omega. Priorty red, activate immeadiately."
As soon as the transmission is sent, a computerized voice fills the station. "Warning. All personnel brace for Gravity Termination. All passengers please find a sturdy support and hold on. Gravity Termination in... Five... Four... Three... Two... One... Gravity Generators offline now."
At that moment, all over the station, the gravity offlined, leaving only the faint tug of the station's mass and the mass of the ships attached to it to provide any sense of gravity. Miki, and just about all of the station crew, smoothly adapt in mid-motion to the sudden loss of gravity; very few of those not part of the crew were used to the experience, especially as the normally magboot-welcoming decks becomes charged to repel any effort to anchor to them, in essence forcing everyone in the station into absolute freefall.

"Of course they have, it starts second week on Cardia." He managed to say befor the gravity went off. He pushed off the wall, wishing he had time to get a repulsor belt from the Tritoch. He followed the security chief, abet a bit slower, he hadn't spent much time in freefall since his childhood.

"Good." Miki's motion suggests more than just a long-term familiarity with the zero-gravity enviroment; the almost fluid, eel-like smoothness of each bounding movement should be eerily familiar to any student of military history.
Back before the advent of artificial gravity, when the prevalence of paranormals in the galaxy was beginning to become obvious, an enterprising group of gengineers had created a genemod which was, these days, largely outlawed. They'd dubbed it the Zenarch modification, and it could only be done to embryos within the first two months of conception.
The result, it had turned out, was a superhuman adaptation to zero-gravity conditions, leaving the Zenarchs more at home in null gravity than in a gravity well. More than that - it left the immune to any form of paranormal manipulation, whether some mage's spellblast, a Jedi's mind manipulation, a Sith's Force Lightning, or a psion's pyrokinesis. Of course, this did little to stop a bolt from a blaster, or the cutting edge of a force sword - but it put one hell of a crimp in the arsenal of most paranormals.
While it could just be that Miki's so familiar with the zero-gravity enviroment that he's adapted perfectly, there's an unsettling resemblance to a Zenarch's gliding ease of motion in the station chief's course.
"Just out of curiosity, you carrying anyone who might think it'd be clever to do something stupid during the zero alert?"

"Lovely." With a kick and a flip, the station chief redoubles his speed, zipping through the corridor like an eel. "If this Kerin harms my station, I'll personally wring his neck."
