Not sure if many of you remember, but back in the day (1997-2002 to be exact), AOl had this rpg free form gaming comunity called Rhydin. I don't know if it still even exists, but there you could have any type of character you wanted. If you wanted to play a cyborg wizard tentacle monster, have at it! Back then you could be fully creative and stretch your imagination to the limit without somebody going "that's not with my story! Do it MY way! Worship MY gods! Be my playtoys!"
I miss that. Sooo...here's Interplanar.
General vague premiss: In this world and time, anything can happen. You feel like doin' Tolkienesque fantasy in the material plane? Great! You wanna look for true love and the right spice in the bars of a space station? Welcome aboard mate! The whole idea: Have fun, coroporate, stretch those creative muscles and roleplay the way it was meant to, without strict rules. Because what's the fun of playing a game when you're just somebody else's toy? Be your own toy dammit! Create some drama and comedy, just have fun.
And that's that!

The Theory Behind Interplanar
This rpg comunity is like a stew.
You start out with the "water base"...just to get things going (start settings, general areas to work with, GM run NPCs to give ideas for quests and what not and move things along when stuff lags....
Then add the "Meat and Potatoes" (more detailed areas within' the main ones, player characters, player run quests, buildings, areas, whatever...the stuff YOU create!)
Now toss in your "Spices" (The actions of your characters; what happens in those cities, areas, miniworlds you made? How will characters react? Toss in some monsters for flavor! Intrigue!)
Lastly..."Simmer" (Play! Make more things! Write YOUR story and everybody else can join in and play, just like playing 'make believe' as kids)
and enjoy the Savory results of your work ^.^
