She purred softly, leaning back a touch. "Can we just go to bed? 'm s'eepy..." To emphasize her sleepiness, the lynxess yawned.
She stood slowly, a bit wobbly from the heated water and her sleepiness. Carefully, almost as if on instinct, Kiara shook off the excess water and began to dress herself again.
"Diven.. thanks."

Diven just smiled, and blushed a tad under the fur. He replaced the sand and shook off. He retrived his robe and donned it once again. "Think nothing of it."
As they made their way back to the den, Diven was mostly silent. His mind worked, trying to discover why he was so compelled to be at her side. It was more than just wanting to help her cope with what he had done to her, it was something more...

Back at the den Kiara immediately went to the sleeping room and plopped down. Curling up into a little ball she yawned. Not even waiting for Diven to come in, she fell asleep.

Diven smiled, he wasn't tired yet, and he knew she would be later too. He sat out in the main room, staring into the fire. Looking for something, in himself. Something that still worth redeaming... And he thought he saw it... but still, harder he looked.

About two hours later Kiara stirred. "Mmm?" She looked around, a bit confused. Then she crawled out, peeking her head out of the curtain. "Diven?" Her voice was rough with sleep.

Diven extinguished the fireball he was rolling around in his paw. He looked up at her and smiled, "Feel better?"
"Would you like a snack? I have some dried apples. Very crispy." He motioned her to the bench next to him.

Not really wanting to stand at the moment, Kiara just crawled over to him. She smiled softly as she rested her head on his leg. "You like apples, don't you?"

He smiled and scratched her head, "They are good for you, and they grow all over the place around here."
He slipped off the bench and sat down with her, continuing to scratch behind her ears.

Kiara purred softly, her eyes closing. "If you keep this up 'm gonna go t' s'eep again..." Her stomach growled a bit. "An' goin' t' s'eep hungry's not a good idea..." She opened her bright green eyes, looking right into Diven's hazel eyes.
It was probably then that she noticed something different about him. "Hmm? What is it?"

He smiled at her, "Its nothing, nothing at all." He nuzzled her gently and gave her a gentle hug.
"You said you were hungry. What would you like?"

"Just some apples..." her stomach growled again. "And... do we have any fish leftover?" Kiara rested her head on his shoulders, nuzzling him a bit.
"Then maybe go to s'eep again... Kiara s'eepy..." She yawned again and closed her eyes. "Maybe just da apples then..."
She guessed that Diven was right. Her body was healing, and the process was making her much more tired than she usually would be. This definately would take some getting used to...

He retrived some apples for her and set back down. "Feeling any better?" he asked, idly scratching her neck.
"You act like you do." He smiled.

"A bit..." Kiara responded, biting into one of the apple. She purred again leaning a bit into his touch.
She looked up at him lazily. "Ne... why d'ya keep petting me?" Her eyes were glazed a bit, but mainly due to her being sleepy. "It's... different... but in a nice way..."

"Its how we show affection, it is something we can do to make another feel good with out any obligations or side effects. Sometimes it can lead to... other things, but not often." He smiled and ruffled her hair a bit, "You seem to enjoy it, yes?"

She nodded slightly. "Hai." Kiara closed her eyes, purring softly. She /had/ been touch deprived growing up, but that was mainly her own fault. Now she knew what she was missing.
Deciding to hell with the bed, Kiara leaned on Diven. "S'eepy time..." she murmured, sort of declaring him her pillow. She nuzzled him a bit as she began to drift off to sleep once more.
