Kiara sat her buster blade down. This is getting damn ridiculous, she thought to herself. She had been on the forest path for more than an hour, and she couldn't really remember why. Well, there was that prick at the inn... how dare he make a move on me. I should have cut him in two. She gritted her teeth and began moving again.
"I swear.. I truly loathe humanity at the moment.. especially those obnoxious men. If I see one more..." she continued to complain and plot torture as she went deeper into the woodlands.
Finally, after about half an hour more of hiking, she settled herself near a cliff. "It's intriguing," she chuckled, "how something that looks so grand... can be infested by those... jerks." Kiara leaned on a tree and ran a hand through her short black hair. It would be a bit before she calmed down. At least her blade was sticking in the ground.

Diven sat in the branches of a tree, over looking the cliff, and the great valley beyond. He idly swung his leg in the breeze, it was days like this that almost made him forget that he could destroy the world just by droping his guard. Someone caught his eye, a human. He almost snarled, but caught himself.
Bloody humans, running around like they own the world, he thought.
"Can I help you?" he said in a mildy irate tone.

"Yeah," Kiara said, thinking she was just hearing things. "Tell me the quickest but most painful way to kill someone." Then it dawned on her that the voice she heard wasn't one she normaly thought of.
"...wait a minute..." She looked around, trying to find the owner of the voice. Seeing a furry foot that lead up to a fox type person, she quirked an eyebrow.
"I'll just go off elsewhere to complain." She picked up her blade and proceeded to walk off. "Sorry for botherin' ya."

"Most painfull... have an elefant push them through a wire mesh. Quickest..." at that, he extended a hand, and a flash of lightning darted from his fingers. A rock nearby exploded, "is up for debate."

The explosion caused Kiara to jump. That was something she wasn't expecting. "What in all the hells?" She looked at the rock.
"I didn't know there was another magick user here..." she wondered aloud. But he's much stronger than me.
"How... did you do that?"

"Tis simple, really, just a a basic lightning spell." He droped down from the tree, landing on his feet. "I could teach you..."

Kiara smirked. "From how you just sounded, it didn't seem like you liked human kind that much." She leaned on the hilt of her blade. "If that's the case, we have something in common."
The young woman cracked her joints. "...I'm not all that great at performing magick. I can only empower my sword easily."

"Preforming magic? No, magery is no preformance, it is mearly a way of doing things. Some are more difficult to do than others, like the rock, I could have hit it over and over with a hammer and had just as many pieces. Magic just makes the process faster, like any tool." he said, picking a few leaves out of the folds of his robe.

"Cool... never would have thought that." Kiara walked toward him, intrigued.
"I'm Kiara, by the way." She bowed slightly.

"You may call me Diven, for now. You said you didn't like humanity, that is not a statment to be made lightly by a human. Why?" he asked, becoming rather annoyed at the bits of bark that refused to detach themselves from the fabric.

"..." Kiara looked away, watching the mountains in the distance. "You'd loathe them too, if you were in my shoes."
"It's not nice... to be chased out of villages and towns just because you refuse to be traditional." She motioned to her outfit, mainly her pentacle. "They don't seem to have much tolerance for witches and swordswomen. Those that don't hate me think I'm a cheap screw."
She fingered faint scars on her arms. "Running seems like the most logical choice."

"Running is all well and good, but problems give chase. If you truly want to be accepted, find a people that will accept you for what you are. My dislike of humanity is for a different reason. You... they are too greedy, too possessive of nature. The earth belongs to no one, yet they wage wars over specks of land to call their own. Like a plague, one that should be cured..." by this point he was talking to himself, though out loud. Staring at nothing into the distance.

"There are some out there like me... but not many." She looked over at Diven.
"You're alone here, aren't you. I don't feel anyone else." She glanced around. "Even though I missed you at first I know what ya feel like."

"Humpf," he snorted, "I doubt that. But yes, I am allone, and for good reason. Fifty years alone, and I hate every day of it."
He glanced down at his paws for a moment, then back over the mountians. "Come to think of it, you probably should go."

Kiara raised a dark brow. "Why? It's getting dark. I may have a sword and a rather head strong attitude at times, but I know better than to go off into any forest when the sun goes down."
She leaned against a tree, eying him cooly. "Any particular reason why I should go?"
