"I'm fine." Kiara chuckled. "And it's not a mess. It looks lived in." Her eyes returned to the glow of the mold. "I like it, actually." She smiled again, closing her eyes.
"Kinda makes me wish I had a place..." the human murmured.

"Well, you can stay here as long as you want." He turned away and winced, realising what he had just said. Why do I always speak before I think?
Then the answer hit him like a ton of bricks, he found himself attracted to this human...

Kiara nodded in response. After a bit she asked, "Anything wrong?" She noticed some sort of tension in the air. Absently she began to play with her bell on her choker. During all of this she kept her eyes closed.
"If you don't want me here I can set up camp outside."

"No, nothing is wrong. I am.... Its been so long since I had a guest... Forgive me." He said, moving to roll a short barrel closer to the fire for her to sit on.

"It's alright." She finally looked at him. "You're much more hospitable than anyone I've come across." She snorted, thinking about the others she had come across. Then again they were humans.
Kiara moved over toward the fire. "Thank you, Diven-san." She sat on the barrel once it was in place, warming herself by the fire.

There was a moment of uneasy silence as his mind rushed of what to do next. He had no idea, so he just did what was natural to him. He laid down on his stomach next to the fire, streaching his limbs. He knew he was suppost to make conversation... but what about? He crossed his arms and sat his head on them, looking at her.
"Where are you from?" he asked, not knowing if it was entirely appropriate or not.

The human looked over at the anthropolymorph. "Well..." Kiara started, "I'm not sure where to start."
"I came from a small village, but I have no home. It was a nice village in the forest... about a three day journey east of here." She smiled fondly remembering some things.
"What about you?" She looks at him hesitantly.

"I came from a land four months journy northwest of here. In my homeland, there are many like myself, and few humans. I.... I made a... I did something wrong, and I left, for everyones safty." He looked in her direction, but obviously not seeing her, looking inside and remembering. A tear glistened in the corner of his eye before he turned away.

Kiara was silent. Is he... crying? She didn't move, but just watched him. Just before she could say anything, her stomach growled.
The human laughed, embarrassed. "Sorry. Sometimes it has a mind of it's own."

He quickly stood, wiping the tear from his eye. "I guess you are hungry. I have some fruit."
He moves over to a basket and draws out several ripe apples and peaches. "This is all I keep on hand during the season. Is it alright?"

"Thank you." She helped herself to an apple. "You only eat fruit and vegetables, correct? If memory serves, your people don't eat meat."
Kiara's eyes went back to the fire, enjoying it's comfort. Just remembering something, she looked at the makeshift bandage on her arm. It was holding up, much to her delight.
She knew she'd leave sometime soon. There was no point in over-staying her welcome. She was on a journey... A journey of what, tho? To discover myself? To find that there is some good left in my kind? Kiara took another bite ouf of the apple. For anything good I find, the bad always seems to outweigh it.

"No, not entirly. Some of my people eat meat and we think nothing less of them for it. I just find that fruits don't try to bite back." He smiled at his joke, the first time is so very long.
He squated next to her, "So, where are you heading?"

"There are many worse places you could have gone." For the love of sassafras Diven, she isn't affraid, she likes my home. What more is there? She could be a friend.... or.....
He was deep in thougt again, throwing ideas around in his head. He snaped out of it after just a few seconds.
"Is there anything else I can get you? I have wild grape wine, cider from the orchards north of here..... anything at all, just ask."
