He turned his back to her and began walking away, "You are different, I don't want to hurt you." I couldn't live with it again.

"You are right. I am different. And I'm not leaving." Kiara got up from her tree and stretched. "If it makes ya less paranoid, Fox, I'll stay out here."
With that said she began to unpack her pockets. Apparently deep pockets come in handy, for she had a small bed roll in one....
"I'll be gone come the sun. Don't worry about me." She growled, more to herself than Diven.

Diven sighed, "If you are gonna stay anyway, you might as well be comfortable, I have an extra bed if you want."
Diven knew this was probably a mistake, he kicked himself for ever speaking. Whats done is done, perhaps this woman could even be a friend, given time.... but what of his last friends....

"Thankies." Kiara flashed him a fanged grin before stuffing the bedroll back in her pants.
"Where exactly d'ya live, anyway?" She looked around in the fading light. "I didn't see anywhere that would be considered a home."
Hold it, Kiara.. he doesn't seem the type to let people know where someone's living... hell, he didn't even seem to like me. The human placed the buster blade over her shoulder. Then again, I'm used to that reception. At least he isn't equipped with a torch and pitch fork....
She looked back at him. "Shall we?"

He nodded slightly, "We shall." He walked to the edge of the cliff, and turned to face her, "See ya at the bottom," he said, then let himself fall back off the cliff.
He twisted his body in mid-air, so that he was facing the ground, not the sky. He swished through the canopy of trees and twisted his body again to expose his back to the rope net he had made for just this reason. He scooted off the net, and awaited his guest, if she had the guts.

"What the fuck?!" Kiara ran to the edge, peering over it. "Oi! You okay?"
"...wait a minute..." She backed away. "Heads up! Sword heading your way!" She shouted, hurling the buster blade over the cliff. After hearing the sword hit the ground she jumped off the same part Diven did.
"BANZAI!" Kiara dived through the canopy but didn't twist quick enough, so she landed on her side.
"Shit..." She sat up, running her hand over her arm. Once the hand was gone there were a few cuts from the net. "Guess you're used t' this, eh?" She rolled off and ignored the sting she felt.
"Where to now?"

He stood before the rock face, holding her sword over his shoulder. "Nicely done, much better than the last one that tried to follow me."
He handed her the sword back and pushed a bush off the rock face, exposing a narrow passage, "This way."

Kiara smirked a bit. "Lemme guess, the person missed the net?" The human put the sword in the ground and pulled out a bandana, fixing it around her arm. She winced a bit when she tightened it, but was quiet about it. There's no way I'm goin' to show weakness... Some blood showed throught the bandana.
"So..." She stepped through the shrubs, "how far is it?"

"No... they got their head stuck in the net..." he said as he steped in behind her, letting the bush fall back into place. The tunnel was carved out of solid rock, a pale purple light showing from some glowing mold on the cealing of the tunnel.
"Its not far, just past the bend."

"Interesting ceiling you have, Foxxy. I like the glowing mold. Interesting, it is." Deciding that she didn't want to pester him further, she fell silent turning the remainder of the trip. That didn't keep her from thinking, tho.
Wonder why he's all alone? Normally there's a colony somewhere around here.. wonder why?

He quirked an eye brow at her calling him 'Foxxy'. "You can call me Diven, and what should I call you?" he asked, in a much more friendly tone.

Kiara was too deep in thought to register his question at first. When it finally did set in she looked over at the fox.. er, Diven. "Diven, ne?" She turned to him and extended her hand. "My name is Kiara. Nice to meet ya, Diven." She actually smiled at him, but it was obvious that her previous thoughts were keeping it from being a real smile.

He reached out his paw to shake her hand. He never really understood humans and their greatings.
As they rounded the bend, the cave widened and got much taller, the same mold covered the walls and the cealing, casting a purple glow over everything. There were several cots against one wall, a few coals remaining from a fire glowed dimly in a pile of ash in the center. Dozens of baskets, boxes, barrles and crates were stacked on the walls.
He spread his arms wide, "Welcome to my home."

Kiara smiled faintly. It was a nice place. Then again she always thought that people's homes were much nicer than people thought because she hasn't live anywhere for too long. The adventuress eyed the room. "It's really nice, Diven-san." She meant every word. Not having a home can take it's toll on someone after a while.

"Sorry about the mess.... I wasn't expecting guests." He walks over to one of the chests on the wall and takes some wood, tossing it onto the coals along with some dry moss. Withen a few moments, there was a slowly burning fire.
"Would you like a drink?" he asked, motioning to the barrles.
