Character Name: Wishbone
Character type: steampunk, fantasy, scifi...well, anything really.
Species: human
Gender: female
Character Class: Shaman, makes money (or trades) by telling fortunes, making charms, amulets and spells
Alignment: Chaotic good is probably the closest...
How character views the world: The world is mutli-layered for Wishbone, more than one reality. She understands that everything is connected, everything has a cause and an effect and the flow of existance passes through all things. To her, all things are sacred, even if she doesn't like them. She has an innate grasp of human psychology, probably from her empathy, so most actions by people just don't surprise her. She believes in efficiency, simplicity and balance, but also believes that it is not her place to convince others of anything. She particularly appreciates creativity and survival and the Do-It-Yourself attitude, like when people build their own homes and grow their own food.
Physical Appearance: 5 feet tall, quite slim with warm golden freckled skin. Her hair is rust colored and is usually dreaded and tied up in two ponytails and always has feathers and bones tied in it. Her eyes are large, almond shaped, and shift colors between greens, golds and blues (or some combination of those). She has high cheekbones and seems to show a hint of Native American blood in her facial structure. She is lanky and moves with the ease of someone who is quite flexible. Wishbone is always dressed in old and worn (and sometimes ragged) clothing like torn jeans, old army jackets, worn dress shirts, etc. She often goes barefoot.
Likes and Dislikes: Wishbone likes the feel of the wind, the flicker of butterfly wings, the hum of a cats purr, the smell of cement after it rains, people watching, having a bit of a high now and then for pleasure, and talking to crows. She enjoys a bit of mischief and just about anything that's strange or unusual. She doesn't like greed, the desire for power over others or pointless sacrifice.
Quirks and Faults: Wishbone is, well, just strange. She stares off into space a lot. She is unfazed by things that are gross, disturbing or frightening to a lot of people. She collects random things she finds on the street, things other people might think of as trash. She doesn't seem to have any kind of value set to people who observe her. She generally comes off as loony. She tends to like animals more than people and gives them more courtesy.
Powers/abilities/skills/knowledge: divination, cast spells, enchant objects, summon and speak with spirits/ghosts, astral projection, can communicate with animals, is fairly unfazable, has an excellent knowledge of plants and the ability to use them, is somewhat empathetic.
History in a nutshell:Wishbone was born into an abusive family. Her strangeness was apparent from the beginning, endangering both her mother's life and her own. Seeking refuge, Wishbone and her mother stayed with a kindly old man who possessed strange powers and recognized Wishbone's inherent powers and talents and took her under his wing, teaching her the way of a shaman. When she was 18, the old man died and Wishbone left the small village to seek her own fortune in the vast world that lay before her.
