Centon sipped his chai as he ascended the stairs. "Something I didn't know, either. She introduced it to me." He paused to sip his drink again. "I find the honey good, actually. It mixes in much easier, in my opinion."
Once back upstairs, he eyed Squee suspiciously. "What are you doin'?"
Squee grinned wickedly. "Getting ready t' go out. Pigeons, y' know." He looked out the window at one of the "winged rats".
Centon paled upon seeing the bird, and promptly passed out. Luckily he had set the chai on the counter.

"Meh, I've never had much of a sweet tooth." she replied, shrugging slightly, her robes crinkling as a result of the action. Once they got upstairs Leanon took a sip of her tea, then, watched with surprise and slight shock as Centon fell to the ground, she flailed her scrawny arms uselesly in an attempt to catch him. "Centon!" Leanon exclaimed, the salmon bobbed around his nose, blubbing contentedly. "My dear squee, should we be worried?" She asked curiously, picking at the loose threads on her cloak.

Squee laughed evily. "Nothing at all. He's deathly afraid of those things." The orange fluff ball shrugged. "He may have told the human why, but not me. I just think it's hilarious to watch him pale more than I thought possible and hit the ground."
He stretched and yawned, showing off all of his pearly white sharp teeth. As he stretched his body, the wings unfurled, stretching as well. "He'll be awake in a few more minutes."

Leanon chuckled darkly, flexing her slender digits, then hiding the blubbing salmon back in her robes. "I suppose it is rather amusing...But do you know what would be even more amusing?" She asked, not really waiting for an answer. "Hand me a quill and a small pot of ink, and before you know it he'll be a work of art!" She grinned her famouse chesire cat on catnip grin, her fingers twitching ever so slightly.

Squee just stared blankly at Lenon. "Y' know, if I so much as go near the ink and quill that the human has, I'm gonna get KOed with a frying pan and taken to the vet. Something I most definately do not want."
After a few moments, Centon stirred. "....demon... I'm gonna kill you one of these days for doin' that." To emphasize his point, he cracked his knuckles.
This only caused Squee to smirk. "Rrrrrrreally now, kiddo? Yer still just a youngling compared to me. I've centuries on you, bird boy."

Leanon stared back and cocked her head to one side, the salmon made a small alarmed noise at the sound of the vet. "Shhh! Don't mention the V..E..T, mines a salmon molester, nasty little bugger." She prodded her robes, making the salmon squirm. Leanon watched the two bicker, she rocked back an forwards on the balls of her feet, looking nervous.

That last comment from Leanon stopped Squee. "Whaa..?" The demon blinked. "A... salmon molester?" He snickered now.
This distraction provided Centon with an easy out of the coming argument. The elf grabbed his chai, then turned his gaze upward. "Wonder what those two are talking about...?"

Leanon placed a thoughtful finger to her lips "Yes, a salmon molester, I hope he knows salmon porn will never sell in this day and age, poor old queen Vick, I bet she wonders what the world is coming to!" She smirked and lowered her tophat, then followed Centons gaze, eyes dancing slightly. "Hmm..Methinks it would be wise to wait a little while longer, I'm sure whatever it is they're talkng about is a private matter."

The elf sighed and nodded. "I just wonder what's taking so long in there. I just get worried, y' know, when she's gone for so long. Especially with another human."
Squee growled. "Alright, angst boi. Get down offa yer "pity me for I love her and I'm too big of a pussy to do anything" trip." His eyes held a feral gleam in them. "Ahm sick of hearin' ya pine over her."
Centon nearly met the floor once more that day. How in all the bloody hells did that cat know /that/?!

Leanon arched her eyebrows slightly and cocked her head to one side. "You should tell her before you loose her to someone else like a salmon molesting vet my dear, that will hurt more than rejection." She paused for a long moment, before finnaly speaking again. "Unless your love for her is forbidden, then yes, you should most defiantly inform her of your feelings." The salmon bumped into her tophat, once again making it askew.

Centon chuckled a bit to himself. "Well, I don't want to complicate things for her. Getting into a relationship with an elf in this city won't help her. The council here is hell when it comes to relationships between elves and humans."
He sipped his now cold chai. "If you think about it, it's one of the best things I can do for the girl."
The demon sighed. "Yer pathetic. Who cares about politics? You know damn well she doesn't!" Squee smirked as he seen the elf flinch. "Yer just a coward, elf."

Leanon scowled, her brow creasing "Since when were relationships between elves and humans forbidden, my dear? pointy ears, thats the only diffrence, well, in a sense. Anyway, this is the first I've heard of it."
She placed her tea upon a nearby counter, the frown slowly faded to be replaced by her usual masked calm.
"We're victorians, not prejudiced dolts, maybe this city is different to the others I've wondered through...But the people, seem so accepting here, I'm rather surprised at the council." She quirked an eyebrow, toying with the salmons fins.
"Just tell her, Centon." She flashed a grin, her eyes dancing.

"Maybe I should," Centon sighed. "It's not like the council here will do much more to her."
He regarded Leanon cooly. "The Sidhe, or most, in this city don't take too kindly to humans. They think them to be the lower than scum here and they are only good for labor." He turned his gaze back up to Jessi's flat. "She was lucky that when she arrive here that the original photographer had died. I couldn't carry on because I had just came on as his apprentice."
"'Sides," Squee chirped in, "They think 'm gonna be eatin' her here shortly." The demon grinned toothily. "But goblins are more my tastes."

Leanon allowed a small sigh to escape her lips. "This is awful, such a city needs a good lesson or two, I'd leave if it wasn't for...Nevermind." She watched as the salmon floated nearer to the window with curiousity. "By Sidhe, you mean elves, correct? My gaelic is shabby, so I do apologise if I'm mistaken." She tore her tireing eyes away from the salmon with a smirk.

"Aye," Centon responded. He was getting deep in thought, trying to figure out a way around the council. Granted, it wouldn't be easy, but, come to think about it, he didn't have much more to loose.
Squee batted playfully at the fish, doing his best to keep his claws in. Surprisingly he managed to. "Say, Leanon, where did you find a salmon like this? 'm interested."
