I suppose I'm lucky. I'm still in touch (amicably) with all who I'd consider exes. Probably my nastiest breakup (if it can even be called that) took place before a relationship even started: she basically said, "I'd go out with you, but you're not my religion, and that would cause insurmountable barriers."
Don't give up hope, though.

Okay, so I'll have to be *shifty* about the whole extermination thing... Hmmm... Now where did I leave that genesplicing lab? I know I have some viral samples in it... There's too many of them to torture, and after the first hundred went missing the rest would start getting suspicious. *peers at Rotzi* Hah. There's only one of me, and so far the majority opinion is that there're too many of me as it is. Then again, the fact that I hate and loathe stupid people may have something to do with that...
