Sijji smiled again. "Sure! Gloves are really handy at times... but what about you?" She blinked, then shook her head. If he wants gloves all he needs t' do is create another pair..
The monk cracked her back while continuing to walk, smiling at the satisfying crack. "So long as I'm able to keep a grip on things, I'll be perfectly content."

"Mmmm? Oh, it would take much colder than the Rift to chill me, oh yes, yes. Much colder than you could survive without a lot of help, I think, mmmhmmm." As Lugh speaks, he works his peculiar magic again, and gloves weave themselves from the air to fit Sijji's hands - snug, warm, and yet thin enough to still allow a nearly bare-handed sense of touch.

Sijji chuckled. "You sort of remind me of Alucard, the way you do things, Lugh-san. Except Esper-san was an engineer."
She studied the gloves. "Before travelling with him and the others, I never would have thought you could kill a dragon with soap..."
"Thanks for the gloves. Just the extra layer of skin I needed."

"A dragon killed with soap? Hmm, hmm. Amusing, mm, yes, if sad, indeed, yes. Mmhmmm. And you're welcome for the gloves, indeed, yes." Lugh beams at Sijji, before turning back to his trek. Oddly, he still hasn't stumbled, even with the light not casting much illumination before him.

Sijji nodded a bit. For the longest time she didn't talk to anyone. Well, there was the Desert, but that didn't exactly count. She eyed Lugh. She supposed he counted, but wasn't sure. He did have a form that could move around like herself.
Thinking a bit about this and her past with Alucard, Sijji, for the second time, trip. This time the monk didn't catch herself and found her self sprawled on top of Lugh.
She blushed a bit, then quickly pulled herself up. Offering a hand to Lugh she spoke softly, "Sorry about that."

Lugh spends a moment contemplating the stone underhis nose before rolling over and accepting Sijji's hand up. "Mmm, no need to apologize, mmm, no, no, indeed. You were thinking, I think, mmhmmm, yes?"

Sijji nodded. "Hai." She sighed, inwardly cursing herself for not being more alert. In the end she knew that there really was nothing she could do to find her old companions. The only way to find some of them was if they wanted to be found.
"So, how much longer is this tunnel, do you think?" Sijji didn't mean to sound rushed - she wasn't - but one can only stand the darkness for so long.

"Oh, it should open up before long, yes, yes." Lugh gestures to the rocky walls, where streaks of silvery frost are beginning to form. "As long as you can take the cold, the Rift is really a rather nice place, mmhmm. Cold, but very serene, yes, yes, indeed." The half-mad Creator reaches out to brush the frost, and his power imbues it, spinning it out into a glistening crystalline moss that almost seems to radiate cold.

A small smile formed on the monk's face. He definately was amusing to watch. Amusing and fascinating. Even if he is a little whack... Then again he was alone for who knows how long...

True to Lugh's word, the passage opens up before much farther, into a strange world; shimmering light glistens along the walls from icy columns and glimmering plants, while frost, ice, and - oddly - snow cover the ground and the rocky pillars. Here and there, odd creatures swoop through the air, and one airborne lifeform with a solid glow floats almost lazily a few yards above the ground, seeming content just to float along.

Sijji's eyes lit up happily. "I can't say I've ever been to a place quite like this..." Her hand touched a pillar. "To be honest I've never been anywhere with snow on the ground. I've always been in temperate or desert settings."
She picked up some of the snow, smiling a bit. "Interesting." The monk stood slowly. "Where to from here?"

Vivianne groans as she sits up, her shadowy tresses falling over her face, hiding it from view. Black clothing helped with the blending, though her pale skin almost seemed to glow in the darkness of the cave.
She placed a long, slender hand on her forehead. Fingers begin to massage her temples as if trying to slowly knead out the pounding there. And was that blood, or just precipitation from this place she had found? Probably blood, but when she opened her eyes she couldn't see her nose much less anything else around her.
She snorted and then coughed, no doubt some of that same blood mixed in her saliva. "I've heard of long black-outs...but this is ridiculous." In fact the last thing she remembered was immasculating some poor shmoe at a local tavern. This had to be the worst hang over she had ever experienced. The words of an old cliche and overused line pop into her head. "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore, Toto." Too bad Toto was in with flying monkeys, and she was somehow stuck in this place...alone.

Sijji's ear twitched. Had she just heard something? She tilted her head back to listen for a moment. All she heard was water dripping in the tunnel. The monk was about to dismiss it something Lugh had made when she heard someone say, "I've heard of long black-outs...but this is ridiculous."
"Lugh-san?" She was facing the way they had come. "Someone is back there." Her pointed ears twitched slightly. "Sounds like whoever it is is hurt." While she was longing to go outside to the surface Sijji couldn't just leave someone back there to suffer.

"Oh, perhaps, perhaps. Do you wish to go and see, then, hmm?" Lugh turns on his heel, beaming at Sijji cheerily. "Well, then, your ears are no doubt better than mine, lead the way, yes, yes, mmhmm."
Somewhere in the Rift, out of sight, the sound of ice shattering can be heard, followed by a heavy impact, and a faint tremor in the ground.

Vivianne chuckled to herself, amused at the predicament she had seemed to get herself into. She stood up, her long and well worked hands brushing herself off. She coughed as the dust rose from her black clothing.
She looked up as she heard the stirring of other people before spitting something hard out of her mouth. Most likely it was another tooth. At this rate she would be as toothless as her Grandmother in a matter of months.
" 'Allo? Is there anyone there, or has my insanitly finally caught up with me?"
